What Is This Program?

The Safe Streets and Roads for All discretionary grant program provides funding to support local, regional, and Tribal initiatives toย prevent death and serious injury on roads and streets. This program was established the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). Eligible applicants are: Metropolitan planning organizations; political subdivisions of a State; Federally-recognized Tribal governments; and multijurisdictional groups comprised of the above. The funds can be used to: develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan; conduct planning, design, and development activities; and carry out projects and strategies identified in a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
