What Is This Program?

This program addresses firearm-related crime through the establishment and expansion of Crime Gun Intelligence Centers (CGICs) – collaborative, interagency efforts with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) that assist local law enforcement in utilizing intelligence and technology to improve the timely collection, management, and analysis of crime gun evidence to swiftly identify crime guns and their sources and effectively prosecute perpetrators.
