This Assistance Listing is for the National Highway Freight Program (NHFP). A program that provides support to improve the efficient movement of freight on the National Highway Freight Network (NHFN).

What Benefits Are Offered?

Federal funding for freight intermodal, freight rail, lock and dam modernization/rehabilitation, and marine highway corridor projects. Eligible projects can receive up to a 30% federal share of costs for certain freight intermodal or freight rail projects. Also includes technical assistance for planning, design, construction, preserving, and improving public roads and stewardship of Federal funds.
