Provides funding to state, local, and tribal governmental entities to establish, implement, or enhance veterans treatment courts (VTCs). Funding can also support state-level efforts for assessment, data collection, evaluation, training, and expanding VTC services to underserved populations.
Who Is Eligible?
Region: United States
Other Criteria: state, local, or tribal governmental entities, proposing to plan, implement, or enhance veterans treatment courts (VTCs), VTCs must integrate evidence-based substance use disorder treatment, mandatory drug testing, incentives/sanctions, and recovery support services, VTCs must have jurisdiction over justice-involved veterans with substance use disorders, including those with a history of violence and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) due to military service, state-level efforts can also focus on assessing, data collection, evaluation, training, and building/enhancing local/tribal VTCs, or increasing identification and access to services for underserved populations
