Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops Program

The TASC program is designed to assist U.S. organizations by providing funding for projects that seek to remove, resolve, or mitigate existing or potential sanitary, phytosanitary, or technical barriers that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops. The TASC program is administered by personnel of the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) on behalf of the Commodity Credit Corporation.

The TASC program is open to any United States private or government entity with a demonstrated role or interest in exporting U.S. agricultural specialty crops. Government organizations consist of Federal, State, and local agencies. Private organizations may include nonโ€“profit trade associations, universities, agricultural cooperatives, state regional trade groups, and private companies.

Grant funding for projects addressing sanitary, phytosanitary, and technical barriers to the export of U.S. specialty crops. Awards are a maximum of $500,000 per project per year, for projects lasting up to five years, potentially totaling $2.5 million per project.
