What Is This Program?

The Gulf Hypoxia Program provides funding to the 12 Hypoxia Task Force (HTF) states to implement their nutrient reduction strategies in support of the Gulf Hypoxia Action Plan. The goal is to advance water quality actions to reduce nutrient loading in the Mississippi/Atchafalaya River basin and shrink the size and extent of the hypoxic zone in the northern Gulf.
