STATE PROGRAMS FOR CONTROL OF COAL COMBUSTION RESIDUALS
Environmental Protection Agency
The overall goal of the CCR Grant program is to provide grants to assist states in the development and implementation of state programs for the control of Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) established under section 4005 (d) of the Solid Waste Disposal Act (42 U.S.C. 6945 (d)) and associated state regulations. Consistent with Congressional direction, funding for the CCR Grant program is not subject to section 3011 of the Solid Waste Disposal Act (42 U.S.C. 6931).

The program aims to ensure safe disposal and environmental protection under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Clean Water Act (CWA).
