The 'Act Now' process accelerates funding decisions for high-priority projects by pre-approving applications that meet state-determined minimum ranking scores, making funds available more quickly for conservation efforts.

Other Criteria: Agricultural producers and non-industrial forest managers, Farmers, ranchers, and landowners, Must establish a farm tract number with USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Must certify compliance with adjusted gross income limitation (AGI) provisions, Must certify compliance with highly erodible land and wetland conservation requirements (Food Security Act provisions), Must provide a property deed or lease agreement to show control of the property, Must have an official tax ID (Social Security number or an employer ID), Must apply for eligible practices through specific NRCS conservation programs (Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP))
