What Is This Program?

The 10.903 assistance listing represents the USDAโ€™s Natural Resources Conservation Serviceโ€™s Soil Survey Program. The Soil Survey Program has a unique responsibility of leading federal portion of the National Cooperative Soil Survey for the last 126 years. The National Cooperative Soil Survey serves all Americans with the following purposes 1) Make an inventory of the soil resources of the United States; 2) Keep the soil survey relevant to every-changing needs; 3) Interpret the information and make it available in a useful form; and 4) Promote the soil survey and provide technical assistance in its use for a wide range of community planning and resource development issues related to working and natural lands.

Other Criteria: Agricultural producers and non-industrial forest managers, Farmers, ranchers, and landowners, Must establish a farm tract number with USDAโ€™s Farm Service Agency, Must certify compliance with adjusted gross income limitation (AGI) provisions, Must certify compliance with highly erodible land and wetland conservation requirements (Food Security Act provisions), Must provide a property deed or lease agreement to show control of the property, Must have an official tax ID (Social Security number or an employer ID), Must apply for eligible practices through specific NRCS conservation programs (Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA), Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP))
