To further the conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of soil, water (including sources of drinking water and groundwater), wildlife, agricultural land, and related natural resources on eligible land on a regional or watershed scale based on Partner lead strategies and goals. The program provides financial and technical assistance to partners and producers for conservation activities on agricultural and nonindustrial private forest land. Funding can be in the form of contracts, easements (entity-held or U.S.-held), or reimbursements to partners for conservation activities. Funds solutions to natural resource challenges through a public-private partnership approach.

Other Criteria: For Lead Partners: eligible organizations interested in partnering with NRCS on conservation projects, For Lead Partners: experience, expertise, and capacity to manage the partnership and project, provide outreach to producers, and quantify environmental outcomes, For Lead Partners: propose effective and compelling solutions that address one or more natural resource priorities, For Lead Partners: identify cash and in-kind value-added contributions to leverage NRCSโs RCPP investments (goal: partner contributions at least equal NRCS investment), For Producers/Landowners: agricultural producers, farmers, ranchers, forest landowners, For Producers/Landowners: own or lease agricultural or nonindustrial private forest land, For Producers/Landowners: seeking to carry out conservation activities consistent with an RCPP project, For Producers/Landowners: must establish a farm tract number with USDAโs Farm Service Agency, For Producers/Landowners: must certify compliance with adjusted gross income limitation (AGI) provisions, For Producers/Landowners: must comply with highly erodible land and wetland conservation requirements, For Land: activities may be implemented on public lands when those activities will benefit eligible lands
