What Is This Program?

To protect biodiversity or nature, restore landscape health, or achieve California’s climate goals. Climate projects are covered under Chapter 6 of Proposition 4 and must satisfy Section 93000, while also addressing at least one priority from Section 93020. Eligible projects protect biodiversity or nature, restore landscape health, or achieve California’s climate goals. To qualify, each project must also reduce climate change risks to communities, fish and wildlife, or natural resources, or increase public access to nature. Proposition 4 – Nature Based

These projects must also reduce climate change risks to communities, fish and wildlife, or natural resources, or increase public access to nature. A total estimated funding of $25,000,000 is available, distributed via reimbursements. The estimated amount per award is dependent on applications.

Region: Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy Zone

Other Criteria: Nonprofit organizations, Public Agencies, Tribal Governments, Projects must protect biodiversity or nature, restore landscape health, or achieve California’s climate goals, Projects must reduce climate change risks to communities, fish and wildlife, or natural resources, Projects must increase public access to nature, Climate projects must be covered under Chapter 6 of Proposition 4 and satisfy Section 93000, while also addressing at least one priority from Section 93020
