The Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities opportunity was renamed as the Advancing Markets for Producers initiative in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025. The initiative aims to achieve the following outcomes through a variety of pilot projects: โข Prioritize producer support to develop sustained methods for expansion of markets for American agricultural products; prioritizing new markets, improving supply chains, and enable direct-to consumer sales, thereby improving economic opportunities for farmers;

Funding for pilot projects (typically lasting one to five years) that finance partnerships to support the production and marketing of climate-smart commodities. Benefits include technical and financial assistance for producers to implement climate-smart production practices, expand markets, leverage greenhouse gas benefits, and develop innovative methods for quantification, monitoring, reporting, and verification of GHG benefits. The program invested over $3 billion across approximately 140 projects.
