What Benefits Are Offered?
Provides multi-year funding (up to 3 years) to nonprofit organizations for staffing, planning, and implementing customized commercial revitalization programs. These grants support projects that strengthen streets, small businesses, and community-based organizations in targeted New York City neighborhoods, based on Commercial District Needs Assessments. Funding includes dedicated support for a full-time program manager.
Who Is Eligible?
Region: New York State (incorporated), Forest Hills, Queens, Fort Greene & Clinton Hill, Brooklyn
Other Criteria: nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations (CBOs), serve target neighborhoods of Forest Hills or Fort Greene & Clinton Hill, compliant with annual State and Federal filing requirements (including New York State Charities Bureau filings), address key findings and commercial revitalization opportunities identified in a Commercial District Needs Assessment (CDNA)
