Grants are provided to local government agencies for the construction or improvement of boat launching ramps, restrooms, boarding floats, shore protection, parking for vehicles and boat trailers, and ancillary items. Funding also covers engineering, construction inspection, permits, special studies, construction contingency, and other project-related costs. The primary purpose is to provide and improve access to California’s waterways by the recreational boating public using trailerable watercraft. Funding is delivered via reimbursement.
