What Is This Program?

The Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) Pilot Program supports efforts to improve the coordination of transportation services for underserved populations. This includes older adults, people with disabilities, and those with low incomes who often face barriers to accessing healthcare, jobs, education, and other essential services. The program provides competitive funding to support innovative projects that will improve the coordination of transportation services and non-emergency medical transportation services (NEMT) for older adults, people with disabilities, and people of low-income. Projects often involve partnerships among human service agencies, transit providers, and healthcare organizations, and they may include coordination technology improvements, mobility management strategies, or develop integration systems that coordinate rides and information across a region or state.
