What Is This Program?

Living Organ Donation Reimbursement Program: This national program provides reimbursement for qualified expenses associated with living organ donation, including dependent care, lost wages, and travel for evaluation, surgery, and follow-up visits. The current three-year cooperative agreement (September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2028) was awarded in FY 2025. Public Education for Living Organ Donation Reimbursement Program: HRSA awarded one cooperative agreement in FY 2025 to increase access to financial support for potential living organ donors, particularly those from medically underserved communities. The current cooperative agreement runs from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2028.
