Foreign Market Development Cooperator Program

FMD award recipients will implement various market development activities in foreign markets to create, expand, and maintain long–term export markets for U.S. agricultural products. These activities will benefit U.S. farmers, processors, and exporters by assisting them in maintaining or increasing market share in foreign markets by addressing long–term foreign market import constraints and by identifying new markets or new uses for U.S. agricultural products in foreign markets.

Industries: agriculture, forestry, aquaculture

Region: United States (organization based), international (activities)

Other Criteria: nonprofit U.S. agricultural trade organization, promotes exports of one or more U.S. agricultural commodities (excluding tobacco), does not have a business interest in or receive remuneration from specific sales of agricultural commodities, contributes at least 50 percent of the value of resources reimbursed by CCC for activities, registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), provides DUNS number (or equivalent), preference given to organizations representing an entire industry or nationwide in membership and scope, complies with reporting requirements for subaward and executive compensation information
