Details vary by subprogram. The Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force (ANSTF) subprogram provides support for ANSTF Regional Panels and State/Interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plans (ANS). ANSTF funding helps the six regional ANSTF panels established under the Nonindigenous Aquatic Nuisance Prevention and Control Act (NANPCA) to carry out their responsibilities under NANPCA, including engaging stakeholders, identifying priorities, coordinating activities, and providing advice. ANS

What Is This Program?

Prior to FY25, this program included the Great Lakes Sea Lamprey and the Great Lakes Fish and Wildlife Restoration Act subprograms. As of FY25, these programs have standalone Assistance Listings (15.687 and 15.688). Prior to FY23, this program included the National Fish Passage and National Fish Habitat Partnership subprograms. As of FY23, these programs have standalone Assistance Listings (15.685 and 15.686). State/Interstate Aquatic Nuisance Species Management Plans โ€“ Funding to support States in the implementation of their Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force-approved Plans. Quagga and Zebra Mussel Containment and Prevention โ€“ Funding to support projects to fulfill the top priorities in the Quagga/Zebra Mussel Action Plan for Western U.S. Waters. Regional Panels of the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force โ€“ Funding to support the host organizations of the six Regional Panels of the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force. Invasive Carp โ€“ Grants to state management agencies and other partners to support the goals identified in the Management and Control Plan for Bighead, Black, Grass, and Silver Carps in the United States.
