The Farm Storage Facility Loan (FSFL) Program provides low-interest financing for producers to build, upgrade, or acquire farm storage and handling facilities, storage and handling equipment and trucks. Loan terms range from 3 to 12 years with varying interest rates (e.g., 3.625% for 3-year term, 4.375% for 12-year term as of March 2026). Microloans are available up to $50,000 with a 5% down payment and waived 3-year production history, while regular loans require a 15% down payment. Eligible items include grain bins, hay barns, bulk tanks, cold storage, and drying/handling equipment, including storage and handling trucks. Eligible commodities are extensive, including grains, oilseeds, fruits/vegetables, dairy products, meat/poultry, hemp, and aquaculture.
