The program provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers and forest landowners to integrate conservation into working lands. It helps address natural resource concerns such as improving water and air quality, conserving ground and surface water, increasing soil health, reducing erosion, improving wildlife habitat, and mitigating drought and increasing weather volatility. Financial assistance may include advance payments, and competitive grants are available through Conservation Innovation Grants.
