What Is This Program?

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) will provide $80 million in financial assistance to help producers affected by the December 2021 tornadoes that passed through Kentucky, as well as destroyed a large commercial grain elevator, limiting a producerโ€™s marketing and storage options. Grain producers in Minnesota, South Dakota and other states affected by derechos, hurricanes, tornados, and other weather events that occurred between December 1, 2021, and August 1, 2022, will also be eligible for EGSFP assistance. The Deputy Administrator for Farm Programs may determine additional affected counties eligible for EGSFP assistance during the application period.
