The principal purpose of the CCFP Cooperative Agreement Program is to transfer funding to eligible States and local jurisdictions in order to collect the data required for a comprehensive study of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) crash causal factors, as required by statute under section 23006 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Public Law Number 117-58 (2021).
