Allocate targeted funding for impactful community projects that promote small business development and entrepreneurship initiatives, supporting both programmatic and construction efforts.

What Benefits Are Offered?

SBA-guaranteed loans (including 7(a), 504, Microloans, Export, Seasonal, Revolving Credit) providing long-term, fixed-rate or variable-rate financing for small businesses. Funds can be used for growth, acquiring major fixed assets (real estate, machinery, equipment, construction), refinancing business debt, working capital, and more. Benefits include competitive terms, lower down payments, flexible overhead requirements, and no collateral needed for some loans. Access to free business counseling and educational training is also provided.

Who Is Eligible?

Business Size: small

Industries: most for-profit industries, manufacturing, wholesale, professional services, non-profit childcare centers (for Microloans only)

Region: United States, US territories

Other Criteria: officially registered and operates legally, physically located and operates in the United States or its territories, meets SBA size standards, able to repay the loan, sound business purpose, credit must be sound enough to assure loan repayment (though some programs may qualify those with bad credit for startup funding), operating business (for 7a loans), operates for profit (for 7a and 504 loans, with exception for Microloans to non-profit childcare centers), not able to obtain desired credit on reasonable terms from non-Federal, non-State, and non-local government sources (for 7a loans), creditworthy and demonstrate reasonable ability to repay, qualified management expertise, feasible business plan, good character, at least one-year of operating history (for 7(a) Working Capital Pilot), can produce timely and accurate financial statements, accounts receivable/payable agings, and inventory reports (for 7(a) Working Capital Pilot)
