What Is This Program?

A Collaborative Technical Assistance listing will allow potential conservation partners to propose ways in which they can assist NRCS in planning and implementing voluntary conservation. This assistance can take the form of the proposing entity/partner working with NRCS to perform conservation planning (based on the NRCS conservation planning process) for agricultural producers that are interested in NRCS programs as well as implementing NRCS conservation practices.

Financial and technical assistance (including cost-share) to help agricultural producers and non-industrial forest managers implement conservation practices that improve soil health, reduce erosion, protect wetlands, and enhance natural resources. The program leverages over $5 billion in national funding from the Inflation Reduction Act and Farm Bill for conservation initiatives.

Region: United States, US Territories

Other Criteria: Agricultural producers, farmers, ranchers, or landowners, Non-industrial forest managers, Own or lease land where conservation practices will be implemented, Establish a farm tract number with USDAโ€™s Farm Service Agency (FSA), Certify compliance with adjusted gross income (AGI) limitations, Certify compliance with highly erodible land (HEL) and wetland conservation requirements (Food Security Act), Possess an official tax ID (Social Security number or employer ID), Provide a property deed or lease agreement to show control of the property, Apply for eligible practices through specific NRCS conservation programs (AMA, EQIP, CSP, RCPP, ACEP, Regenerative Pilot Program)
