The purpose of the Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative: Specialized Supportive Services (ADI-SSS) project is to fill gaps in long term services and supports (LTSS) for persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers by expanding the availability of specialized services and supports. The grants are intended to fill existing service gaps in the following areas: 1) Provision of effective supportive services to persons living alone with ADRD in the community

What Is This Program?

The purpose of the Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative: Specialized Supportive Services (ADI-SSS) project is to fill gaps in long term services and supports (LTSS) for persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) and their caregivers by expanding the availability of specialized services and supports. The grants are intended to fill existing service gaps in the following areas: 1) Provision of effective supportive services to persons living alone with ADRD in the community. 2) Development of dementia capable systems designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of programs and services dedicated to individuals aging with intellectual and developmental disabilities and at high risk of developing ADRD. 3) Provision of effective care/supportive services for persons living with moderate to severe impairment from ADRD and their caregivers. 4) Behavioral symptom management training and expert consultation for family caregivers.
