To provide financial assistance to producers on private lands through contracts to construct or improve water management structures or irrigation structures; plant trees for windbreaks or to improve water quality; and mitigate financial risk through production or marketing diversification or resource conservation practices, including soil erosion control, integrated pest management, or transition to organic farming.

Provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers and non-industrial forest managers to implement conservation practices. This includes cost-share assistance for approved projects and free technical assistance such as resource assessment, practice design, and resource monitoring. Funding decisions can be accelerated through the 'Act Now' process for applications meeting state-determined minimum ranking scores.
