What Is This Program?

This program provides support to American Indian/Alaska Native communities to develop victim service projects and provide training and technical assistance services to eligible crime victimโ€™s assistance programs. The Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2019, provides for five percent of funds made available for obligation from the Crime Victims Fund to be used to support a broad set-aside program for Indian tribes to improve services for victims of crime. The program is open only to federally recognized Indian Tribes (applying individually or as consortia), ANCSA regional corporations, and their authorized designees.
