The goal of the Tribal Forest Protection Act (TFPA) is to address forest health, forest fire hazard, and other land health issues on Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-managed lands to prevent them from spreading and impacting Tribal lands and communities. Tribes propose projects on BLM-managed lands and the BLM has 120 days to respond to the request by indicating the steps to be taken, including initiation of any necessary review under the National Environmental Policy Act or of the potential of
