What Is This Program?

The Supplemental Nutrition Education (SNAP-Ed) Toolkit, a searchable on-line database, is an important resource that allows SNAP-Ed providers and educators to easily locate evidence-based programming and associated evaluation tools. It includes four main components: Interventions, Evaluation Framework, Literature Reviews, and Training; that guide and support the implementation, evaluation, and reporting on evidence-based nutrition education programs. The Interventions component allows users access to a searchable database of over 150 evidence-based interventions which are appropriate for low-income audiences. These interventions also link to associated behavioral outcome indicators from the Evaluation Framework component. This website was managed through an agreement with the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC), which has ended in FY 2023. The resources and information from the SNAP-Ed toolkit have been moved to the SNAP-Ed Connection website here:https://snaped.fns.usda.gov/library/materials
