What Is This Program?

The purpose of the Sexual Assault Forensic Exam Program grants is to increase access to trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) and Sexual Assault Forensic Medical Examiners (SAFEs) by establishing regional SANE training programs, providing full and part time salaries for SANEs and SAFEs, and otherwise providing training, education, or technical assistance.
