Region: California, tribally owned lands and coastal waters, non-tribal lands and coastal waters with cultural significance within California
Demographics: California Native American tribes, federally recognized tribes, non-federally recognized tribes
Other Criteria: Nonprofit Tribal Government, Federally recognized tribes (must provide evidence of federal status), Non-profit organizations applying on behalf of non-federally recognized tribes, an inter-tribal consortium, tribal conservation district, or tribal partnerships (must provide IRS nonprofit verification), Projects must assess and plan for the impacts of sea level rise on tribal cultural resources, ancestral lands, and lifeways, Projects must promote tribal-led planning advancing climate resilience, equity, and cultural preservation, Eligible project types include pre-planning (community visioning, education, data collection, vulnerability assessments) and planning (setting adaptation priorities, developing culturally appropriate strategies), Letter of Intent Required
