To deliver training and information as well as outreach activities in the management of production, marketing, financial, legal and human risk to the U.S. agricultural producers with a priority to producers of crops not insurable with Federal crop insurance, specialty crops, and underserved commodities.

What Benefits Are Offered?
Provides a safety net for America’s farmers and ranchers through various federal crop insurance policies (e.g., HIP-WI, SCO, STAX, Whole-Farm Revenue Protection) to protect against yield and revenue losses. The Federal Government provides premium subsidies, paying 65% of the premium cost for SCO and 80% for STAX. Special benefits are available to make federal crop insurance more affordable and accessible for beginning and veteran farmers.

Other Criteria: Must be an agricultural producer, SCO requires an underlying crop insurance policy (Yield Protection, Revenue Protection, or Actual Production History) and no ARC election for that crop/farm, STAX is for upland cotton and cottonseed
