What Is This Program?

The REPI Program sustains military installation operations through cost-sharing agreements that prevent incompatible development, reduce regulatory restrictions, and increase military installation resilience. By avoiding land use conflicts in areas outside installations, the REPI Program safeguards the militaryโ€™s ability to use existing facilities, avoids costly workarounds, and ensures warfighter access to uninterrupted training.

What Benefits Are Offered?

contributiongrantadvisory

The REPI Program preserves military missions by supporting cost-sharing agreements between various partners (Military Services, other Federal agencies, state/local governments, private organizations). Its aim is to avoid land use conflicts near military installations, address environmental restrictions that limit military activities, and increase military installation resilience. It offers tools for protecting irreplaceable training/testing ranges and mission readiness assets. Benefits include preserving live-fire training, reducing operational workarounds, mitigating electromagnetic spectrum interference, enabling mission growth, fostering new partnerships, preserving working lands, enhancing safety, supporting Joint Land Use Studies (JLUS), and providing recreational opportunities. The program has historically leveraged $1.7 billion in Department of War funds with an additional $1.5 billion from partners. For 2025, REPI will contribute over $25 million across 20 projects.
