Industries: environmental conservation, watershed management, climate change adaptation, agricultural sustainability, ecosystem restoration
Region: Eastern Los Angeles County, California, Western Orange County, California
Other Criteria: Eligible applicants: Nonprofit organizations (with 501(c)(3) designation), Public agencies (State, Federal, Local including City/County, Water districts, School districts, Certified local conservation corps, Joint Powers Authority), and Tribal entities (federally recognized or listed on Native American Heritage Commission as California Native American tribe), Projects must achieve at least four or more of the thirteen specific objectives outlined in Proposition 1 Chapter 6 (e.g., protecting watersheds, fishery resources, climate change adaptation, protecting urban creeks, water-related agricultural sustainability), Projects must have a water-related benefit, improving water quality supply, creating/enhancing reliable water supply, and/or restoring important species and habitat, Application involves a two-phase submission process: Concept Proposal followed by an invited Full Application, Preference given to projects with secured matching funding
