What Is This Program?

Funds may be used to cover the costs of training and certifications specific to home modifications for older adults, costs associated with individualized needs assessments, costs related to exterior or interior modifications and equipment that improves accessibility and reduces risk of falls, and, as determined by HUD, any other costs related to environmental modifications and assistive devices or technologies to enhance the ability of older persons and their caregivers to function safely in and around the home.
