To assist States, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands (hereinafter referred to as States), and qualified Indian Tribes and intertribal consortia in implementing EPA-approved Section 319 nonpoint source management programs.

What Benefits Are Offered?

Financial assistance and resources for projects aimed at protecting and restoring waters by addressing nonpoint source pollution. This includes support for water quality infrastructure, agricultural best management practices, decentralized wastewater systems, source water protection, wildfire resiliency, and ecosystem restoration. Funding is available through federal grants (like CWA Section 319) and low-cost financing via federal-state Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (CWSRF and DWSRF).
