MAP award recipients will implement various market development activities in foreign markets to develop, expand, and maintain foreign markets for U.S. agricultural products. These activities will benefit U.S. farmers, ranchers, food processors, and manufacturers through increased exports and expanded rural job opportunities.

To encourage the development, maintenance, and expansion of commercial export markets for U.S. agricultural commodities and products by reimbursing participating organizations for a portion of the costs of carrying out overseas marketing and promotional activities.

Cost-share assistance for overseas marketing and promotional activities for U.S. agricultural products and commodities, including consumer advertising, public relations, point-of-sale demonstrations, participation in trade fairs and exhibits, market research, and technical assistance.

Business Size: small

Industries: agriculture, food, forestry, aquaculture

Region: United States (applicant entities must be U.S. based)

Other Criteria: Nonprofit U.S. agricultural trade organization, Nonprofit State Regional Trade Group (SRTG), U.S. agricultural cooperative, State agency, For brand promotion: small-sized U.S. for-profit entity or U.S. agricultural cooperative, Promoting eligible agricultural commodities (excluding tobacco, at least 50% U.S. origin by weight, excluding water), Registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and possess a DUNS number (or equivalent unique identifier), Comply with 2 CFR part 170 reporting for subawards and executive compensation, Must meet minimum contribution/cost-share requirements (10% for generic promotion, dollar-for-dollar for branded promotion)
