What Is This Program?

As the lead government agency responsible for the regulation and safety oversight of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), FMCSA awards HP-CMV funds to support increasing public awareness and education on CMV safety, targeting unsafe driving in high-risk crash corridors, demonstrating new technologies to improve CMV safety, safety data improvement, and other projects that advance its mission to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.
