Hazard Mitigation Grant

The objective of the program is to provide funding support to states, Indian tribal governments, territories, communities, and other eligible applicants to reduce the risk of future damage, loss of life and property in any area affected by a major disaster. This program promotes implementation of activities designed to reduce injuries, loss of life, hardship, suffering, and damage and destruction to property from natural hazards which is consistent with DHS QHSR Goal 5.1, “Mitigate Hazards” and
