The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act provides the authority to regulate tobacco product manufacturing, distribution, and marketing. An interagency partnership between the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products fosters tobacco regulatory research.
