The National Environmental Information Exchange Network (EN) is an inter-governmental partnership to foster better environmental management and decision-making through increased access to timely and high-quality environmental information. The EN, launched in 2002, uses a standards-based approach to facilitate environmental data sharing among EPA, states, tribes and territories. This framework allows organizations to exchange and share data over the Internet regardless of the specific information

Region: United States, U.S. Territories, Federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Villages

Other Criteria: Eligible applicants include states, U.S. Territories (American Samoa, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, District of Columbia, Guam, Palau, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands), federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Villages, and inter-Tribal consortia of federally recognized Tribes., Instrumentalities of a state, Tribe, or territory (e.g., public universities, local air/water districts with instrumentality status) are eligible., Applicants are not eligible to receive more than one award per solicitation cycle., Lead applicants cannot have more than four active Exchange Network assistance agreements with EPA as of December 31st of the prior calendar year., For partnership applications, eligible partners must be separate units of government (partnerships formed from within a single state, territorial, or Tribal government are not eligible)., For the 'Individual Capacity Building with Mentorship' opportunity, the applicant cannot be a former EN grantee.
