The purpose of this grant program is to increase drinking water system resilience to natural hazards. Grant funding can be used to assist in the planning, design, construction, implementation, operation, or maintenance of a program or project that increases resilience to natural hazards. Funding is for projects that increase drinking water system resilience to natural hazards in underserved communities that are disadvantaged communities or communities with a population of less than 10,000 indivi

Non-repayable funding for the planning, design, construction, implementation, operation, or maintenance of projects that increase the resilience of public water systems to natural hazards. Projects include water conservation, infrastructure modification/relocation, desalination, water supply enhancement, energy efficiency, and other resilience measures.
Who Is Eligible?
Industries: Water and Wastewater Systems
Region: All US States, District of Columbia, Guam, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, Tribal lands within the US
Other Criteria: Applicant must be a public water system, a water system located on areas governed by Tribes, or a State (applying on behalf of an underserved community)., Must serve an underserved community (lacks access to household drinking water/wastewater services or is served by a public water system that violates National Primary Drinking Water Regulations)., Must serve a small community (population less than 10,000 people) OR a disadvantaged community (service area meets state affordability criteria)., Project must aim to increase drinking water facility resilience to natural hazards., Projects must comply with the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, requiring all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials to be produced in the United States.
