Victim Compensation formula grants provide funding to supplement state compensation programs that provide financial assistance and reimbursement to victims for crime-related out-of-pocket expenses, including medical and dental care, counseling, funeral and burial expenses, and lost wages and income.

Provides direct financial compensation to individuals impacted by crime, offers comprehensive resources and assistance (including hotlines, information, training, technical assistance, and publications) to victims and service providers, and awards grants to organizations enhancing victim support, particularly in tribal communities and for human trafficking survivors. The program also provides access to national crime information systems for Tribal law enforcement.
