What Benefits Are Offered?
Cost-share grants to implement advanced technologies for direct air capture of atmospheric carbon. Eligible projects include technology research, development, demonstrations, prototype, and pilot research test centers. Total estimated available funding is $15,000,000. Individual award amounts are dependent on project scope and needs, providing up to half of the project's cost share.
Who Is Eligible?
Industries: carbon removal technology, clean energy, environmental technology
Region: California (preference for projects located in or benefiting disadvantaged and/or low-income communities and/or Tribe(s))
Other Criteria: Tribal Government, Project must meet requirements of an eligible federal Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), Follow-on funding from U.S. Department of Energy (if applicable), Required to provide at least 50% of the total project cost share from other non-Energy Commission sources, Letter of Intent Required
