What Is This Program?

The purpose of this listing was to leverage NRCS and partner resources to assist historically underserved farmers and ranchers in understanding and successfully accessing NRCS staff, conservation technical and financial assistance programs. Historically underserved farmers and ranchers are producers that have not participated in NRCS programs. Outreach is an integral part of the overall delivery of the NRCS programs and services to customers and potential beneficiaries. NRCS conducts business to ensure that all programs and services are made equally accessible to all customers, with emphasis on the traditionally agricultural institutions and communities. NRCS considers outreach an ongoing informational campaign designed to educate the public of the services and programs available to assist them to conserve soil, water, air and other natural resources.
