Grant funding for projects to remediate and/or enhance watersheds and communities, including road decommissioning/upgrades, erosion prevention, culvert upgrades, water conservation, cleanup of impacts from illicit cannabis operations on private and public lands, and enhancing biodiversity and wildlife habitat. Funding is delivered via reimbursements.

Other Criteria: Nonprofit organizations qualified to do business in California and under Section 501(c) of Title 26 of the United States Code, Public agencies within California, California Native American Tribes, as defined in Public Resources Code Section 21073, Letter of Intent required, Projects benefiting Californiaโs Threatened and Endangered Species receive higher scores, Matching funds/in-kind services are not required but commonly provided by successful applicants
