What Is This Program?

The Center for Substance Use Treatment (CSAT) projects for regional and national significance support states, tribes and communities through grants and cooperative agreements. CSAT programs support those with substance use disorders to receive effective treatment and achieve long-term recovery by improving access, quality, equity, and system capacity nationwide. This is achieved by 1) expanding access to substance use disorder treatment; 2) improving the quality of treatment services; 3) supporting recovery-oriented systems of care; 4) addressing the opioid and overdose crisis; and 5) strengthening the treatment workforce.
