These programs build local workforces skilled in environmental assessment, cleanup, and revitalization of contaminated brownfield sites, enabling graduates to secure full-time, sustainable employment in the environmental field.

Other Criteria: Applicant is a nonprofit organization, local government, or other eligible organization, Training program must build local workforces to perform assessment, cleanup, or preparation of contaminated brownfield sites for reuse, Training programs prioritize unemployed and under-employed residents of communities impacted by waste facilities, blighted properties, and contaminated sites, All eligible training must have a direct connection to facilitating the inventory of brownfield sites, site assessments, remediation of brownfield sites, community involvement, or site preparation, Applicant organization must be registered in SAM.gov and Grants.gov, For coalitions: Lead entity must have legal authority to expend grant funds on behalf of non-lead members, Target area must have an unemployed/underemployed population impacted by the presence of at least one brownfield site
